CDT PhD & Associate Students Raise Money for Alzheimer’s Research

Good luck to CDT student Nathan Curry, and associates Florian Strohl and Laurie Young who will be running in the 2014 Bupa London 10K to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

A central research theme in the group of centre supervisor Clemens Kaminski is the development of modern laser imaging methods that shed light on the molecular mechanisms of devastaing diseases. They use lasers to study the aggregation of proteins and the debilitating effects that this can have in people suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Three committed scientists Laurie Young, Florian Ströhl and Nathan Curry are training hard to run the Bupa London 10k race to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK, a charity which helps fund research into the disease and allows us - and many other scientists - to carry out vital research that may one day lead to a cure.
